6 Dog Dates To Pop In Your Business Calendar
Trying to find fresh content can be a challenge, particularly if you’re trying to aim it towards our loveable dog owners. Successful marketing is underpinned by the ability to plan content and special offers in advance.
From National Pizza Day to Talk Like a Pirate Day, it seems like almost every day, the internet is celebrating some sort of holiday. So what dates are related to dogs and how can you make the most of them?
23rd Feb – International dog biscuit appreciation day
Yummy! The dogs favourite day. Perhaps consider getting some home-made dog biscuits in for the day for any special dog customers who walk through the door? Don’t forget to share this on social media.
23rd March – National Puppy Day
National Puppy Day celebrates the unconditional love and affection puppies bring to our lives. Encourage your community to share photos of their dog as a pup.
Jun 23rd – Take Your Dog To Work Day
Bring Your Dog To Work Day is an annual nationwide event where businesses across the UK allow their dog loving employees to bring dogs into the workplace, all in the name of charity. We all know dogs bring positive benefits for employee productivity and customer wellbeing.
On this day, businesses raise money for dog-related charities who are dedicated to making a difference to the welfare of dogs.
No doubt somebody in the workplace has a dog, it’s the pawfect day to show them off to your community. Perhaps host a ‘Dog Cafe’ for the day and allow customers to come and greet the ‘resident pups’.
August 26th – National Dog Day
Every year, dog owners celebrate and spend time appreciating the love and value that dogs bring to our daily lives.
Perhaps think about giving something back to the dog community, whether it’s raising funds for rescue centres, or even celebrating the emergency service dogs.
We also recommend using this day to give dog owners a special offer, and perhaps an extra special treat for our four-legged furiends.
1st October – Walk Your Dog Week
All dog owners LOVE a walk with the dog. They love it even more so when they can walk with a group. Perhaps host a local group walk, starting and ending at your venue. Have some special treats for the dogs who take part and some mouth watering offers for when the walk is done.
Don’t forget just like you can with dog friendly places, you can also add any events to our website for FREE. If you have listed your business on Dog Furiendly, you can even add the event to your listing.
December – Christmas Time
It’s always a big occasion for the world, but dog owners especially love to spoil their dog during this time. Come up with some special dog-related offers, or promote an enticing roaring fire to bring dog owners in from the cold winter months.
Think about inviting a dedicated dog friendly day for Christmas Dinners, or for those of you in accommodation, share the benefits of staying with the dog around Christmas.
