An Afternoon in the Dog Friendly Southsea

This weekend, me and Minnie enjoyed a beautiful afternoon in the dog friendly Southsea.

We parked down by a canoe lake, which is a lovely spot with some beautiful swans, thankfully at this time of year the car park is free, always an added bonus!

Before our adventures, we obviously headed to Dog Furiendly’s website to search for some dog friendly places – and it didn’t disappoint. We found somewhere to go for lunch called Becketts Southsea. It looked great and we were able to make a nice walk out of the journey.

We stuck to the promenade for the whole way as it’s a lovely smooth path for the pushchair and Minnie is a right fuss ball about walks. She thoroughly enjoyed the walk as it was a beautiful dry day with no mud or puddles! There were some lovely photo opportunities too! Minnie spent some of the walk off-lead as there is a lovely part of the path that is situated behind Southsea castle and Pyramids centre well away from the road.

Now anyone planning to visit Becketts…. just go! The food was absolutely lush, the full English was cooked to perfection and the giant chips I could have eaten them until they came out my ears! I loved the decor inside too, it gave such a nice vibe to the place, the log burner was super cosy.

Southsea is such a beautiful hotspot, which so many things to do and super dog friendly! We have added a little map with the route we took, it did mean doubling back on ourselves but who cares, the view was lush!
