An Alternative Bonfire Night for Dogs is Coming to Bridgend

We’re collaborating with The Watermill, Ogmore to create a fun-filled, firework free evening for our four legged friends.

We’re bringing an alternative Bonfire Party for dogs to The Watermill, Ogmore. Taking place on the 4th November, the ‘Bonfire Bunker Pawty’ will act as a safe haven for dogs who suffer with a fear of fireworks.

A ticket to the event costs £8 and includes entry to the quiz, games throughout the evening, goody bags from Burns Pet Nutrition and prizes from Pets at Home, Merthyr Tydfil.

The Watermill is set in a rural area, far from firework displays and will remain open until the displays close.

According to the RSPCA, 45% of the UK’s dogs show signs of fear and distress by the loud noises of fireworks.

Founder of Dog Furiendly, Adele Pember, said: “Like many dogs across Wales, my Jachuahua Charlie suffers with terrible firework anxiety. I know he’ll be relieved to be surrounded by other humans and dogs, far from any fireworks.”

“When we launched Dog Furiendly in January, we knew that this was an event we needed to do for dog owners. We’re hoping this will be a great success, so we can roll it out across the UK next year.”

A ticket to the ‘Bonfire Bunker Pawty’costs £8 and includes one dog per person. Extra dogs can join for £2. Tickets are available online only: http://dogfuriendly.eventbrite.com
