Competition Terms and Conditions

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before entering our children’s art competition.

These Terms and Conditions set out who can enter the competition, how the competition will run, and the circumstances in which we may withhold all or part of any prize and/or disqualify any entrant.

Grab a cuppa, a couple of gravy bones for the dog and read on.

1. Promoter

  1. The promoter of this competition is Dog Furiendly LTD, company number 12220891, hosted on Hereon-in referred to as Dog Furiendly, ‘we’ ‘our’ or ‘us’.  
  2. Although Dog Furiendly is the official promoter of the competition; this competition is sponsored and run in partnership with Burns Pet Nutrition who is responsible for providing prizes;

  4. In addition to these Terms and Conditions, you hereby agree to comply with the following policies of Facebook, Twitter and Instagram (as applicable):
  5. These Terms and Conditions are in addition to Our Privacy Policy, accessible at, and governs how we may use the data we collect from you.
  6. By submitting an entry for the Competition, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
  7. Any amendments to these Terms and Conditions will be posted on the relevant Competition Promotion Page.
  8. We reserve the right to cancel or amend the Competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the promoter’s control. Any changes to the Competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by us via our Promotional Pages.

2. Eligibility to Enter 

  1. The competition is open to residents of the United Kingdom
  2. The respective families of employees, directors, sponsors and partners of Dog Furiendly are eligible to enter this competition.
  3. We reserve the right to disqualify an entrant if their conduct or submitted art entry is contrary to the spirit or intention of the competition.
  4. We reserve the right (in Our sole discretion) to disqualify any entrant, entry or person we reasonably believe to be responsible for or associated with, such activity: If the photo or content provided is defamatory, indecent or violates any third party’s rights, is offensive, unlawful, obscene, threatening, pornographic, harassing, hateful, racially or ethnically offensive, promotes political positions or actions, encourages conduct that would be considered a criminal offence, gives rise to civil liability, violates any law or is otherwise inappropriate, or contains advertisements or solicitations of business;
      • If the photography promotes political positions, agendas or actions.
      • If the photography does not belong to you and it’s not royalty-free and you don’t have any permission to use the photo or anything that violates any third party’s rights.
      • If you have provided false or misleading information; including use of false name, age or address
      • If the art contains advertisements or solicitations of business
      • If we have grounds to suspect any entrant of cheating, deception or fraudulent or unsportsmanlike conduct of any kind. 
  5. We will not accept competition entries that are automatically generated by computer; completed by third parties in bulk; illegible, altered, reconstructed, forged or tampered with; or incomplete.
  6. We reserve the right to verify the eligibility of all entrants, and reserve the right to disqualify any entrant if it has reasonable grounds to believe the entrant has breached any of these terms and conditions.
  7. You must be able to comply with all the Terms and Conditions.

3. Competition and Entry Requirements

  1. The competition will open on the 5th October 2022 at 9:00AM and close on 23rd  November 2022 11:59PM. After this date, no further entries to the competition will be permitted.
    •  Entries received after the closing date are automatically disqualified.
  2. Winners will be announced after Judging and will be announced on the 10th November 2022 via our Promotional Pages.

  4. Entry to the competition is free, however, all materials for the creation and submission of photography must be provided by the individual.
    • All photography must be the original not infringe on anyone else’s copyright.

    • Files submitted must be in the format of JPG, PNG, PDF.
    • We know how beautiful the seasons are therefore, you may submit up to 2 entries (two different seasons). 
  6. Whilst we try to ensure that the standard of this website remains high and to maintain the continuity of it, the internet is not an inherently stable medium. Errors, omissions, interruptions of service and delays may occur at any time. We do not accept any liability arising from any such errors, omissions, interruptions or delays. Neither do we accept any ongoing obligation or responsibility to operate this website (or any particular part of it) or to provide the service offered on this website. We may vary the specification of this site from time to time without notice.
    • No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason. Including entries which are lost or corrupted or any entries which We do not receive as a result of any technical error, however, caused. 
    • In addition, we cannot accept any liability for any difficulties experienced in submitting an entry. Proof of entry or submission will not be proof of receipt by us.
  7. We endeavour to provide reasonable adjustments, where possible, for competitors who declare a physical, sensory or learning difficulty to us at any stage of the Competition. If you require any reasonable adjustments to be able to enter the Competition or make a Donation then we can provide information in different formats to make it more accessible.

4. The Judging Process

  1. After the 23rd of November, we will review all entries received to ensure they comply with these Terms and Conditions.
  2. We will appoint a judging panel of independent people ( two of whom places 1st and 2nd in last years competition to select a winner for each month.  Those 12 winners will then go to public vote for cover star 
  3. The Winner(s) will be notified within a reasonable time after the closing date via at least one of the following methods: via the relevant social network site, by email; via Promotional Pages.
  4. We reserve the right to verify the eligibility of entrants. we may request such information as we consider reasonably necessary for the purpose of verifying the eligibility of an entrant and prizes may be withheld unless and until we are satisfied with the verification.
  5. The judges’ decision will be final, and we will not enter into any correspondence concerning the final decision or the way the competition is organised.
  6. Dog Furiendly’s decision on all matters relating to the competition is final and no correspondence will be entered into concerning the competition’s judging organisation.

5. The Prize

  1. Subject to these Terms and Conditions, each Competition Prize will be announced on the Competition Promotion Pages.
  2. All prizes are sponsored by third-party businesses also known as the Official Sponsor(s) or Prize Giver(s). The rundown of prizes are as follows:
    • All 12 winners will receive a selection of treats from Burns Pet Nutrition
  3. We reserve the right to change Sponsors and Prize Givers at any time. If at any point a prize has been removed or swapped to another Competition category, Dog Furiendly will ensure that a prize of similar value is offered as a replacement.
  4. We are not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.
  5. At the Prize Givers option, they may either send the Prize to the winner(s) digitally, by first class post or make the Prize available for the Winner/s to collect at a place reasonably selected (upon presentation of valid identification), provided that that Winner has complied with his/her obligations under these Terms and Conditions.
  6. There are no Prize substitutions or cash alternatives and the Prize is not transferable.
  7. Third-party terms and conditions apply to parts of the Prizes where applicable.
  8. Unless otherwise expressly stated, the Winner(s) (and any permitted companion(s)) will be solely responsible for their own accommodation and travel and any and all other expenses incurred in connection with that Prize. For vouchers, if there is a delivery charge, the Winner(s) are solely responsible for delivery expenses. We assume no responsibility and are not liable for any costs, charges or expenses which the Winner(s) (and any permitted companion/s) may be required to pay at any time in connection with their Prize.

6. Winner

  1. The winner(s) agree to the use of his/her name and image in any publicity material for the Competition Promotion, as well as their art entry as we see fit whether now or in the future, anywhere in the world; Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.
  2. The winner(s) irrevocably consent to us to use the submitted art commercially (for the purpose of producing products to raise funds for Pets As Therapy), or for any advertising purpose and hereby grant a licence for us to use the submitted image for the marketing & future promotion of Bark to The Future. Images may be cropped, digitally edited or inserted into artwork and frames.
  3. You agree that we will be the owner of any intellectual property rights in your entry and to this end, you will assign to Us, with full title guarantee, all intellectual property rights in your entry (if applicable);
    • You will waive all moral rights in your entry; 
    • You consent to the exploitation by Us (or any third parties we authorise) of your entry in any way we see fit and in any media; 
    • You agree that you will not be entitled to any payment for such use; and 
    • You will sign such documents as we reasonably request to confirm this.

7. Limitation of Liability

  1. We cannot be held responsible for any costs incurred by you in entering the Competition (whether or not such entry is successful) or in relation to you taking part in a Competition.
  2. We shall not be responsible for any losses you suffer as a result of Our breach of these Terms and Conditions unless those losses were reasonably foreseeable to both you and Us at the date you enter a competition. 
  3. If entering online, standard mobile data and internet connection charges may apply. Dog Furiendly cannot be held liable for these charges.
  4. On our website there are clickable links to the Chosen Charity and Official Sponsor websites which we hope will be of interest to you. We do not accept any responsibility for or liability in respect of the content of those sites, the owners of which do not necessarily have any connection, commercial or otherwise, with us. Using automatic links to gain access to such sites is entirely at your own risk.
  5. For the avoidance of doubt, we shall not be liable to you, in contract, tort (including, without limitation, negligence) or otherwise in connection with a competition for:
    • loss of revenues, profits, contracts, business or anticipated savings or loss of data; or
    •  any loss of goodwill or reputation; or 
    • any special or indirect or consequential losses, however caused.
  6. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall exclude or limit Our liability:
    • for death or personal injury resulting from Our negligence or a deliberate act or omission of Us or any of Our officers, employees or agents; 
    •  for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or 
    • to the extent that liability cannot by law be excluded or limited
  7. We shall not be liable for any damages or losses as a result of the failure by us to deliver a competition, prize or any other prizes as a result of any circumstances outside of Our direct and reasonable control including, but not limited to, as a result of a server failure (including but not limited to access delays or interruptions, data nondelivery or misdelivery), any act(s) of God, war or terrorism, breaches of security or unauthorised use of personal data arising from hacking and/or failure or lack of reception of telephone or mobile telephone networks

8. Your Liability to Us and Your Statutory Rights

  1. You agree to fully indemnify us in respect of all liabilities, damages, claims, actions, expenses (including reasonable legal fees), demands or costs incurred by us as a result of any breach by you of the Terms and Conditions. 
  2. Nothing contained in these Terms and Conditions shall affect any statutory rights which you may be entitled to as a consumer.

9. Your Data

  1. Your personal data shall be used solely in accordance with the current data protection legislation and in accordance with Our privacy policy which governs our use of the personal data We collect from you. 

10. Governing Law 

  1. These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with English Law and any dispute arising from them shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
    1. This competition operates as a prize competition that is free from regulations under the Gambling Act 2005; the competition is not a lottery and is one of skill which is judged on an individual basis. 
    2. These Terms and Conditions are created in compliance with the CAP and ASA regulations to provide all “significant conditions”. Further to the CAP and ASA regulations: 
    3. We do not allow sponsors or prizes that cause excessive consumption or irresponsible use. 
    4. Our Chosen Charity has been thoroughly checked by Dog Furiendly to ensure they comply with all applicable laws and Fundraising Regulations.
    5. Personal data of entrants is being collected and processed under our privacy policy, found on our website. This complies with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003 (PECR).
    6. Dog Furiendly has taken all measures, as far as they are aware, to comply with all relevant laws, regulations and processes for the purposes of this Competition.
