DIY ball & tug dog toy

DIY ball & tug dog toy

Supplies:

  1. 1 Old T-shirt
  2. 1 Tennis ball
  3. Scissors

Instructions:

Step 1: Snipping up your shirt

Lay your T-shirt on a flat surface, and mark off your cuts. You’ll want to make 2 pieces that are about 5-6 inches wide and a thinner strip about 2 inches wide.

Once you cut up your T-shirt, you’ll end up with 3 tube-like pieces. Simply snip each of them at one of the ends to make them into long straps.

Step 2: X marks the spot
Lay the 2 wide strips in the shape of an X, and place the tennis ball in the middle.

Step 3: Wrap it up
Wrap the ball with all layers, and gather the strips at the bottom of the ball.

Take your skinny strip, and tie a tight double knot to secure the fabric-wrapped ball. Now you should have four wide strips hanging from the base of your ball.

Step 4. Just a little more snipping

Take 1 of the 4 wide strips, and separate it from the rest. Cut this piece into 3 even sections.

Step 5: Braid that rope

  • Braid the 3 newly cut strips until you get near the bottom, and then tie the ends with 1 of the strips.
  • Snip the ends so they’re even.
  •  Then repeat steps 5 and 6 with the rest of the remaining strips of cloth.
  • Braid the 3 newly cut strips until you get near the bottom, and then tie the ends with 1 of the strips.
Snip the ends so they’re even. Then repeat steps 5 and 6 with the rest of the remaining strips of cloth.
