The New Forest is loved by many, and luckily for us, it’s adorned with luxurious dog friendly hotels. From welcome packs to treats and snacks, these 11 dog friendly hotels in New Forest are sure to make your tails wag!

Balmer Lawn Hotel

Borckenhurst

A family-run country house set in the heart of the tail-waggingly beautiful, New Forest National Park.

You and your dog will love exploring the direct access to the 145sq miles of New Forest Woodland, with local wildlife, scenery, sights and smells. The hotel even provides a dog walking map for you to explore together!

When it comes to overnight stays, this hotel provides supreme comfort. Dogs are welcome to stay for £20 per dog per night with a maximum of two dogs per room. Dogs are supplied with dog bowls, treats and towels.

Dogs are not allowed in the restaurant, but you are welcome to dine with your pooch in the lounge area, bar or alfresco on the front terrace which serves an extensive selection of dishes all day.

Burley Manor

Ringwood

Dogs are welcome to stay in luxury for £30 per dog per night or £45 for two dogs per night. Dogs receive their own dog mat, a welcome bag of delicious healthy snacks and treats from Paws Deli Kitchen and special bowls to eat and drink from.

Up to two dogs are welcome in the guest bedroom or up to three small dogs in the garden suites, which open straight out onto the grounds.

Dogs are not allowed in the restaurant but can join you in the bar for a nightcap, or in the drawing room.

There are a range of walks to enjoy in the New Forest, after you returned from a walk the hotel will supply you with a dog-towel to make sure they’re dry and clean.

The Master Builder’s House Hotel

Beaulieu

Faithful four-legged friends are always welcome at The Master Builder’s at Buckler’s Hard. This wonderful place has even received an award for being dog friendly – so you know you’re in great paws.

Chic and Luxury Rooms are presented in the main house, beautifully and individually designed. Dogs are welcome to stay for £20 per room, per stay. Dogs are welcomed with their own bed, treats and a mini-welcome pack.

This place is very passionate about good food, and not only do they have a mouth-watering menu for humans but a delicious Dog Room Service menu too, including sausages, casseroles and more.

You can dine with your dog in the Henry Adams room in advance or the Yachtsman’s Bar which offers a great menu.

There are plenty of great walks in the local area for you to enjoy and the reception team is always more than happy to provide suggestions.

Woodlands Lodge Hotel

Southampton

This Hotel is an incredibly dog friendly country house, on the edge of the New Forest park. They warmly welcome the pitter patter of furry paws for £5 per dog, per night.

There’s seven guest rooms, two of which have direct garden access. Dogs are given a welcome pack on arrival containing a dog treat, blanket and towel.

Dogs are welcome to join you in the bar and lounge area. Here you can grab breakfast ready for a full day of exploring, or dine in the evening after a busy day of adventures.

This hotel has direct access to the New Forest National Park, which means you have a range of routes for impromptu strolls or long dog walks. Then once you’re all tuckered out, they have an outside tap to wash down those muddy paws before entering the hotel.

The White Buck

Ringwood

The White Buck is a gorgeous country house nestled in the heart of the New Forest. This place was once used as a hospital during World War Two but today, it serves up tasty grub and comfy beds as a stylish pub, restaurant and hotel.

The White Buck is hugely popular with dog owners, whether you’re looking for a bite to eat or place to rest those sleepy paws.

Dogs are welcome in selected rooms at the hotel for £15 extra per night. A maximum of two dogs can stay per room and they will receive bowls and Bonios.

Dogs are not allowed in the restaurant but there are plenty of tables – and water bowls – in the bar area (where you’ll also find a big jar of tasty treats).

If you’re staying overnight, you can also dine in the cosy Gun Room or lobby, where you’ll find some comfy sofas in front of a roaring fire.

Passford House Hotel

Lymington

The Passford House Hotel, are more than happy for you to bring your dog for a staycation in Hampshire.

The 9-acre gardens that surround this wonderful place are simply breathtaking, and every acre will have your dog sniffing with joy. It’s also just a bone’s throw away from the New Forest, so breath-taking scenery and routes are on the doorstep.

Dog friendly rooms are available for a charge of £15 per dog, per night. The rooms include standard and superior rooms with four-poster rooms also available. Dog treats and bowls are provided in the room as well as a welcome letter for your dog!

Dogs are not allowed in the restaurant or bar area, but everywhere else is open to them including a few lounges where dog owners can dine from the restaurant menu with full waiter service.

Bartley Lodge Hotel

This wonderful place was once the home of Charles Darwin’s good friend, geologist Charles Lyell. Over the years, the Darwins owned many dogs, so there’s no doubt they got to enjoy some of the pleasures this wonderful place brings.

You and your pooch will have plenty to explore, surrounded by eight acres of beautiful gardens, dense woods and open meadows filled with free roaming ponies.

All rooms are individually designed with bold colours of florals, many boasting garden views and access. Dogs are welcome for £10 per pet, per night, dogs will find complimentary treats and towels for muddy paws at reception.

Dogs aren’t able to join you in the restaurant, but they will provide dining options in the lounge should you fancy a spot of breakfast or tasty dinner after a long days walk. There’s still plenty of dog friendly pubs just a bones throw away, so you’ll never be short of a bite to eat.

Forest Park Hotel

Brockenhurst

Cosy log fires, scenic views, a sun terrace, gorgeous garden and walks on the doorstep – all the things that make for a great dog friendly hotel.

Dogs are always welcome to stay for £15 per room, per night. The dog friendly rooms are all ground floor, some providing direct access to the garden. Rooms come equipped with dog beds, welcome treats and Doggie Towel.

The Restaurant is a Doggie Free area, but dogs are very welcome in the Inn at Forest Park for Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner.

New Park Manor

Brockenhurst

This Manor was once a hunting lodge for King Charles II (arguably his favourite). Now you can find a stylish and very dog friendly hotel, which is perfect because it’s nestled right in the middle of the New Forest.

Dogs are welcome to stay with you for £10 per night, and they are provided with a bed and a bowl. Resident Whippet Daisy will also throw in a warm welcome. Rooms are relaxing, comfortable and nicely designed environments with some of the New Forest’s most comfortable four-poster beds.

Food and drink options here are fit for a King and an essential part to the New Park Manor experience. You are more than welcome to dine with your pooch, in the Rufus Lounge. Here you can enjoy a bistro-style menu and cream tea.

The Mayflower 

Lymington

This stylish, coastal inn boasts breathtaking views of the Lymington harbour. Here you can enjoy the best of both worlds, with tail-wagging coastal paths on the doorstep and access to a 60-mile footpath leading straight into the New Forest (Solent Way).
