Milo's Dog Friendly Adventure - Penrhyn Castle
Milo is a huge fan of National Trust Sites.
Most are dog friendly with a vast amount of space for him to stretch his legs, lots to sniff and the humans seem happy wondering around leaving Milo many opportunities to burn off some of that energy.
Penrhyn castle can be seen from the A55 and we have passed it standing proud in all of its glory many times on our way to Anglesey. When we found out it was National trust & dog friendly, we HAD to visit.
Impressive as it is from the main road, I cannot explain it’s beauty close up and pictures do not do it justice. It’s gothic style castle with tantalizing windows and beautiful grounds are a must.
We visited early Autumn when the impressive red ivy was climbing it’s walls.
Of course we will be returning spring/summer as it would be the most perfect spot for a picnic with plenty of fields, picnic tables and no guilt of having to leave your pooch at home whilst enjoying somewhere so beautiful.
What was unexpected was the walled garden which even in autumn, had a tropical feel to it with its pine trees, huts on lakes and beautiful flowers.
Whatever the season, this piece of welsh history is a must see! Visit its website for upcoming events.
I look forward to sharing Milo’s next dog friendly location with you.
