27/05/2023 at 11:41 amWe started taking our pug cross here in late 2022. She’d been run over by a car aged 3 and then aged 7 we noticed she was starting to have difficulty with weakness in her back legs, not enjoying walks anymore, and being grumpy with her sister
After around 6 swimming sessions we can honestly say it’s been life changing for Stitch! Her mobility is improved, she’s running rings around her 3 year old sister!
She seems to be a much happier dog which is so lovely to see. We’ve kept up with the swimming, she goes once a week, and we don’t think we’ll be stopping!
She’s gained so much muscle in her back that she’s not had since before the accident. I didn’t realise she could look so fit and our vets are so happy with her fitness and weight, especially for her breed type
Pictured before (on a walk, lack of muscle in her hind, 5 mins in and already stopping)
After (on the beach, nice muscle back legs, after 30 mins of exploring and ready for more)
