Description

This has to be one of the most pawesome city centre walkies in the country, with 650 acres of grassland, hill and lochs to explore, only 10 minutes walk from the Royal Mile.  Arthur’s Seat is the highest point in Edinburgh, climb up to the trig point for amazing views across the city and Firth of Forth.  If you prefer something a little less strenuous then follow Queen’s Drive and the High Road through the park – lots of green space adjacent to the road to let your furry friends stretch their legs, just watch out for the swans at the lochs!!! The car park nearest the Scottish Parliament is pay and display but there are free car parks at St Margaret’s Loch and Dunsapie Loch as well as some roadside parking along the High Road.  All roads in the park, except for the High Road and to access car parks are closed every Sunday.
