Ignore the sign
We had a panic on arrival as the sign said assistance dogs only. After a quick check we were informed the sign was old and that dogs were more than welcome. Its not the largest gardens, but the variety of plants and winding paths more than make up for its lack of size.
The tea room is a must. Due to Covid its outside only, and they have installed a large awning to protect customers from the rain. The staff were delighted to meet Missy and were very happy to talk with us and share some fun facts about the architecture of the main building and so on.
A delightful visit and well recommended to spend a few hours on a nice afternoon.
