An award-winning tourist attraction nestled in the Teign Valley on the edge of Dartmoor, Canonteign Falls has been welcoming visitors for more than 25 years and their four legged friends.
Set in 100 acres of park and woodland, Canonteign is a must-see for Devon visitors, with walks and activities for all ages and abilities. From a gentle stroll around our 7 lakes and wildflower meadows to a bracing stomp through spectacular ancient woodland up to the top of the highest man-made waterfall in England, our beautiful corner of the countryside is perfect for enjoying the fresh air and having fun with the family.
90 original Victorian steps lead up through the Victorian fern garden to the top of the Falls itself, with soaring panoramic views available from many vantage points. Children can play safely in two different areas where a zip wire, pirate ship and trampolines await, while out café prides itself on serving delicious, locally-sourced homemade food and drinks. Dogs are welcomed throughout the Falls, inside as well as out and all are greeted with treats at reception and water bowls are located in a variety of locations. Due to the abundance of wildlife we ask for dogs to be kept on leads. So whether you want to soak up the sun on our terrace or hire a back-pack to take the little ones on a woodland adventure, we invite you to have a wonderful day with us. We are open 7 days a week between March and November. Please check our website for details of opening times.
