With 1000 acres to explore this place is the perfect place for a long walk!
There is an outdoor play park for kids called Fort Douglas and there is a lovely cafe and shop called Restoration Yard. Dogs are allowed at the outdoor seating area.
Accessible via public transport and parking available on site.

We visited here for a doggy play date and though we didn’t explore much of the park at all, we loved the time we spent and can’t wait to come back and discover more!

Being one of our locals we have spent a lot of time here during lockdown. There is a large area to explore with different routes. The park is definitely a hot spot late morning onwards so ideal to get there early if you want to avoid the crowds.
Some fabulous walks through the woods, watch out for the squirrels! Often can find horses sharing the paths too worth noting.
