The main feature of this iconic cove is the magnificent limestone arch leading into the clear, aquamarine waters of the sea. The arch, which separates Doodle Door from Man’o'War Bay, was formed by thousands of years’ of pounding waves sweeping against the headland.

17/07/2022 at 6:52 pmWe were in the area so decided to pay a visit to the infamous Durdle Door. We had to pay £5 for day’s parking. Be warned, the walk down to the Durdle Door view point is very steep and uneven, and then requires a step uphill walk back to the car park – so wear good sturdy shoes if you plan to visit! However we found the views worth the struggle! At the car park there is toilets as well as a refreshment stall where we were able to enjoy an ice cream with a lovely view.
