Kinmel Bay (Sandy Cove)

Also known as Sandy Cove, Kinmel Bay lies on the western side of the River Clwyd just across the estuary from Rhyl. The sandy beach is a popular spot with summer visitors and is used all year round by watersport enthusiasts.

Dogs are not allowed on a section the beach between Dinas Avenue, Kinmel Bay and Sandbank Road Towyn from May to September. Dogs are allowed on the rest of the beach throughout the year although must be kept on a lead in the nature reserve.
