Totally disappointing, and embarrassing as I had invited friends along with their dog to keep me and my two company.

We had a great deal of trouble reaching the access gate, the only signage being a notice that said Paws Paddock No Access, probably financed by irritated residents of Stroud Green Road. The post code should not be used for guidance as it is misleading.

So we had lost 10 mins before arriving, but the venue turned out to be so boring that we eventually gave up early anyway. I simply couldn’t believe how barren it is. A decent dog walk it ain’t. Just a flat, fenced, muddy field covered with dog faeces people hadn’t picked up, and the sight and constant noise of heavy lorries working on the new by-pass just a few feet away. (The adjustable “Vacant” sign quite amusing for a featureless field that affords a view right to the opposite side, nowhere to hide!)

A very few agility ideas, one broken. Having given up searching for a tree, or a bush, our dogs had more fun mounting the table in the shelter.

This “facility” should be honestly described by PP. Although obviously quite new, time alas can do nothing to improve it. I shall not be returning, and feel I cannot have confidence in their description or reviews of other sites.

A bleak open space backing on to a building site that will eventually be a busy main road. Half the pleasure of a dog field for us is a couple of hours solitude in beautiful countryside. This is not. With views of a block of flats and the constant noise of diggers and dumper trucks we were glad to get home. In 20 years when the trees and hedgerows have grown it may be pleasant, but currently the worst dog field we have visited. The only thing going for this field is that it is local.
