Local park escape, home to a rugby club and bowls club. The war memorial park is situated within the Rhymney Valleys and is a great short walk for local/visiting dog owners.
The area is child friendly which includes a children's park and allows access to mountains for longer walks with your adventurous pooch.

One of our local hometown walks, the park is peaceful with an handful of other local dog walkers which is good for a puppy needing some socialisation and if your dog is friendly. Parking in this park is minimal however it is free. The main path is tarmac around the area there are grass paths which lead onto the mountains around the park which can make your walk a shorter one or a lengthy one, but this is considered one of our shorter walks if we drive here or part of a longer walk around our local area. The grass paths can be muddy in the rain therefore appropriate footwear would be suitable.
Even though you got a lovely path around the local park/rugby fields to go on a more quiet walk we tend to follow the grass paths around the mountain areas which offers more open space to leave your companion off the lead and a quieter walk. The park has limited facilities such as a children’s park, sports fields, bowls club and a rugby club. We love this little local walk and makes for a great experience for yourself and your dog
