No dogs on beach between 1st May and 30th September.
Weymouth Beach is a curving arc of golden sand adjacent to the town centre, with Weymouth pier at the southern end. The safe, shallow waters are ideal for swimming, and a range of other activities are on offer during summer, from donkey rides to Punch and Judy shows.
The Life And Times Of Darcy

The dog beach at Weymouth is lovely and sandy with a nice and gradual descent to the waters edge. While there is plenty of space outside of summer times, during Holidays it becomes packed and really isn’t big enough to accommodate so many visitors and their dogs. You have to be careful as the area is not very well signposted telling you where is dog friendly on the beach. The surrounding town is one of the most dog friendly places I’ve ever been to with the majority of shops and pubs welcoming dogs and providing water bowls year round. There are taps on the beach to fill bowls and wash off but not much parking nearby so be prepared for a walk. It is however, one of the few beaches that my dog will actually go for a paddle in. Because it’s by the pier it’s protected from a lot of strong waves so it’s great for her little legs
