Caffe Isola

Caffe Isola is our own retail cafe and profiling roastery set in the heart of Newport town centre, showcasing the best of local produce and craftsmanship. We are a hub for a wide demograph of customers, in Nodehill, an area of town that is filled with independent retailers. We have grown over the years, from our humble beginnings in Watchbell Lane in 2006, to our spacious home in the historic former Beavis building and congregational church lecture hall. Downstairs houses our retail cafe where our values are still the same; honest simple food with an Italian twist, made with fresh ingredients for Eat-In and Take-Away along with a wide selection of local retail produce and wares. Coffee has always been our passion, and when we started roasting back in 2010, Caffe Isola became the home of our island roasted coffee. Whilst our main roastery is just down the road by the river Medina, our new profiling roastery on the first floor allows customers to watch the roasting process from start to finish, and gives us a facility to develop new coffees without having to disturb our wholesale production schedule. It also allows us to produce some very bespoke small runs as well as stock the Isola retail shelves, meaning the wholesale roastery has increased production by focusing on full batches. The first floor retail gallery also houses the best of island craft producers as well as an extensive range of tea and coffee making equipment and gadgets including home espresso machines.
