The Auld Hoose is situated in the Newington area of Edinburgh - short walk from Arthur's Seat and The Meadows for a good place to run around and work up an appetite!
The Auld Hoose is well known for its Nachos and if you are feeling brave you can take on the monstrous portion! Otherwise you can enjoy burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches and sides such as popcorn chicken, chips etc. They have vegetarian and vegan options on the menu too.
They are super dog friendly - staff welcoming and offered the dogs treats and water.
They also run a quiz night on Tuesdays and students get 10% off food.

We visited here earlier in the year after recommendations to try the nachos and boy, we were not disappointed. Probably the biggest plateful of nachos I’ve ever seen. The dogs were welcomed in – its a busy spot for doggos and there was probably about 4 other dogs in when we were there. The staff did their best to spread them out too. Water bowls were offered too.
