Description
The Ferry Boat Inn (known as the FBI to the locals) is a dog friendly historic pub next to the beach in the beautiful fishing village of Shaldon, Devon, on the mouth of the River Teign.
The Pub is close to the Ferry Boat that runs between Shaldon and Teignmouth. With picturesque views looking out on the River Teign, this is definitely a great one outside for a warm summers evening. Children are also welcome too- with well behaved parents!

We stopped here for a few drinks and lunch whilst in Shaldon for the day with our 2 dogs. The menu was full of choice and typical pub grub! Considering the beautiful location, the price wasn’t too bad either. There were treats on the bar for the dogs and the staff made water available for them too as well as bringing them more treats throughout our stay. There was lots of room for the dogs to be either by the side of us (when it was quieter) but also the tables are large enough to have them underneath and out of the way (we have 2 labradors)
Sheldon is such a wonderful place to spend the day (or longer if you can) and make ample opportunity to walk around. there is a car park further out where you can walk into Shaldon and make better use of the facilities however please be aware that there are cattle fields around so there may be cows about so please keep your dogs on a lead if you are walking from out of town into Shaldon
Within Shaldon however there is lots to see and do and wonderful little shops of which some can accommodate dogs too.
A very lovely day in Shaldon spent and a lovely couple of hours at the Ferry Inn
