Event details

Is your dog terrified of fireworks? Are you dreading the days around Bonfire Night trying to comfort your pet as they cower behind the sofa? Or is your dog nervous in general and you have been unable to help them overcome their anxieties? This seminar is for you as you learn many proven strategies to help fearful dogs.
Visiting us for one day from his base in Loughborough is Alex Wilson, a certified Level 2 Tellington TTouch practitioner, a Pro Dog Trainer and a senior instructor at the Dog Training College who specialises in working with challenging dogs.
Tellington TTouch is a training method for dogs that combines hands-on body touches, with slow groundwork exercises. TTouch is a tried and tested method to teach dogs how to act, rather than react to situations and help them to make great choices. It is a great solution for dogs that are high-drive or who are fearful, anxious or who present challenging behaviours.
His day course will cover:
– an understanding of the Tellington TTouch techniques, looking at the links between posture and behaviour, understanding the benefits of having a balanced dog mentally, physically and emotionally, through observing dogs and their body language,
– canine emotions,
– demonstrations with Tellington TTouch body wraps and calming coats,
– Ace Free Work and other strategies.
The course is for handlers only, no dogs, but Alex will be bringing his own dog to demonstrate with.
Also assisting him will be Ann Corcoran, a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers and a licensed Clever Dog Method trainer with an A-Dip in Canine Behaviour Management.
Places are limited and cost £55 per person, including a light lunch and refreshments. £25 deposit secures your place with £30 to be paid on the day. Contact Kathryn or Becky for a booking form.
