There are so many beautiful places in Lake District to pitch up at a dog friendly campsites with your pooch.
Our top choice is the dog friendly town of Keswick. This is the perfect place to pitch up, as there’s plenty of dog friendly pubs and tearooms. In fact, Keswick which was voted most dog-friendly town for four years running!
Alternatively, the village of Grasmere has plenty of beauty to explore. William Wordsworth used to live here, and you’ll find a big nod to his legacy. This is a great place to pitch up and spend some time soaking up the natural beauty. Nearby are walks along the Central Fells including the Coffin Route or to Easedale Tarn.
Ambleside is also a great place to base your adventures, with it’s winding streets, central location and the number of nearby amenities. The village is surrounded by picture-perfect views. Stock Ghyll Force and Jenkins Crag are two of our favourite walks.
