Bewl Water is the largest stretch of open water in the South East. The 800 acre site is set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, in the heart of the High Weald. Open all year, a visit to this stunning lake is fantastic family fun and great value.
Pack a picnic, take a blanket, set yourself up and enjoy an afternoon of sun, dogs and outdoor activity. Once you've eaten all that you can manage, take a walk to the shoreline and hire a row boat or pedalo for £10 per 30mins, hire a bike and go for a cycle or, just go for a nice walk with your furiend around the space and take in the scenic views. The staff is very friendly and welcoming to dogs with water bowls dotted around the outside of the café. Some other recreational activities include fishing, cycling and boating, on and around the reservoir, aqua park, camping (seasonal), sailing, conference venue and if a picnic is not your thing then visit the restaurant or café on the shoreline. There is plenty of on site parking which is pay and display but other than that, it's entirely free entry.
Situated near the picturesque town of Lamberhurst and the beautiful Scotney Castle, and within an hour's drive of Tunbridge Wells, Hastings, Tonbridge, Maidstone, Ashford, Eastbourne and Sevenoaks via the adjacent A21, a trip to Bewl Water makes for a great day out on the Kent and Sussex border.
