Built in 1667, Cyder Press Farm offers both an opportunity to immerse yourself in olde worlde England from centuries ago, while providing the 21st century home comforts that ensure a comfortable stay. As you drive into Cyder Press Farm, you will be struck by the property’s attractive exterior, featuring Tudor-style paneling, a beautiful lawn + patio area, and, if you’re visiting in the spring/summer months, you’ll see the farmhouse in full bloom – shrouded in climbing foliage and rose bushes.
Cyder Press Farm is ideal for families and larger groups, particularly those looking for plenty of open space where they can explore and relax. The Farmhouse is a great place for those wanting to holiday together while also appreciating some privacy thanks to the separate Barn building and bedroom partition door + separate staircases in the main farmhouse. The Farmhouse sleeps 8 guests in 4 bedrooms, 2 of which are en-suite, 1 family bathroom and 2 additional WCs. The Barn can accommodate 4 guests in 2 bedrooms, both with their own en-suite bathroom.
Children will love the winding gardens at Cyder Press Farm (perfect for a game of hide and seek!), with plenty of outdoor games to choose from such as a covered ping pong table, ever-popular swingball, croquet set, hula-hoops and much more! Weather permitting, guests can enjoy a BBQ and dinner al fresco with a complete patio outdoor dining suite and comfy rattan furniture, as well as multiple other seating areas dotted around the lawns.
Inside, Cyder Press Farm is everything you may expect of a 17th Century Farmhouse, fine craftsmanship, wooden beams, large fireplaces, flagstone floors and full of wonderful little nooks and crannies. However, you haven’t completely stepped back in time, and there is also everything you may expect from a 21st Century home. The main farmhouse kitchen is spacious and very well equipped featuring an AGA and double fronted American fridge, while a beautiful period dining room sets the scene for entertaining. There are 2 games/play rooms for both little and big kids, one offering toys and games of a more traditional nature, and the other providing a large, flat-screen HD television and Xbox One, perfect for a movie night or for the keen gamers amongst the group!
Located off a very quiet lane in the sleepy hamlet of The Leigh, Cyder Press Farm is secluded enough to feel like a rural retreat while only a 10-15 minute drive from both the centres of Cheltenham and Gloucester, making it a great base from which to explore all that the Cotswolds has to offer!
