Castle Coch offers beautiful scenery and a lovely woodland walk for your dog.
Parking outside the castle is free, or if you go later in the day when the car park is closed then parking on the road opposite is an option.
Unfortunately inside the castle is not dog furiendly, but just right of the castle grounds is a lovely woodland walk. It does start with a bit of a hill climb (just to pre warn) then It’s pretty flat and has loads of options to make the walk as long or short as you like!
If you walk down from the castle along the main road you will also come across a pub on your right hand side and a dog furiendly cafe called “Plan 2 Bike Ride” where they have water bowls for your dog. The opening hours are not standard with this cafe (e.g closed on a Tuesday) so double check online potentially prior just to make sure it is open ☺
Overall a lovely walk for you and your dog

i would advise visiting early as the car park fills up quick although there is street parking just outside. There are lots of different paths on site so you can walk for miles in lots of directions. We followed the sculpture trail and part of the path that takes you to the taff trail. Was a great walk for sunnier days as the forestry provided lots of shaded and cooler areas
