The Forest Tea rooms have two entrances, you can get there the conventional way and park in the car park (just past Castle Coch) or you can park at Castle Coch and take an adventure through the woodland- like we did.
The walks around Castle Coch are beautiful and great for the dogs to run around off lead, locating the cafe from this area can be quite confusing as it’s off the beaten track, but is a whole lot of fun! There are also some wooden signs on the trees to point you in the right direction!
When you arrive at the Forest Tea Room you’ll have the option to sit inside, on the sofas and chairs, by the log fires, or outside under the canopy, or a sit nearer the peacock and chickens!
The owners and staff are so lovely and make such a fuss of all the dogs (big or small), they offer them treats and there are plenty of water bowls scattered around the place.
The offer a selection of homemade cakes, hot food, sandwiches, coffees, teas and the standard soft drinks. It’s all very reasonably priced and the food was lovely- very homely!
The even offer ice cream- for humans and dogs!
Overall a lovely day of exploring the woods, finished off with a pawsome visit to a truly Dog Furiendly Tea Room! Would definitely recommend and will definitely be going back!
