The Great Orme Summit Complex is a hilltop destination known for sweeping views, and jam-packed entertainment!
Standing prominently at the 679ft Summit of the Great Orme, this striking position gives the Summit Complex an incredible set of views stretching in all directions - from Snowdonia to Angelsea, Ireland to England - you can see it all!
With models, interactive displays and exciting films the whole family will enjoy finding out more about the diverse wildlife and history of the Great Orme. Watch the sea bird colonies via a live video-link, test your knowledge on the digital interactivities and spot rock pool creatures in the aquarium.
Travel to the summit using one method or a combination of Tram, Cable Car, Bus, Walking or Car (all of which allow dogs). If you decide to choose the cable car or tramway you will have the experience to remember. The cable car is the longest of its type in the UK and the tramway transports you back to a Victorian bygone age. Both offer fantastic views, and children especially enjoy this memorable experience.
There is a large pay car park and public toilets inside the visitor centre, next to the wildflower garden. Next to the visitor centre is an ice cream shop and a large fence playground for children with picnic benches between the park and the complex so you can enjoy your drink and views whilst still keeping a close eye on the children.
Inside the complex is a gift shop offering amenities from across the world, from personalised products to fidget spinners, there is something for everyone.
There is also a bar (The Randolph Turpin bar - aka Randy's bar), as the name suggests the bar is themed on Randolph Turpin, a champion boxer who once owned the complex. The bar offers the very best wines and spirits and the most popular bottled and draught lagers, stouts and bitters. Enjoy a relaxing drink surrounded by history, or on the Snowdonia terrace whilst appreciating the sun and breath-taking views.
Also in the complex is The Olde Victorian picture house, where you can purchase personalised items and gifts, welsh themed gifts and photos of you and your family/friends in a Victorian pose.
Captains table cafe, serving hot drinks, hot food, light bites and sweet treats, including an ice cream counter.
Dogs are not allowed in the children's playground or the mini-golf but they are allowed everywhere else on the summit Including inside the Complex/cafe/bar.
