A great base for visiting DogFest at Knebworth House!
On arrival the humans had to sign a contract which detailed a few rules to follow when staying with a canine companion – we found most of their requests to be common sense so didn’t mind signing it although we found it a bit strange.
We were given a dog friendly room, which was also accessible with a door leading straight to the car park which was ideal for midnight toilet trips. It would of been ideal for the reception to give us the key for this door at check in and tell us how to access it as the first time we went to the room we had to navigate a lot of windy corridors and stairs to get to our room. However once we had the extra key and could access it from outside it was very easy.
There is a garden area outside the function room with some bins which was a handy toilet spot.
The carpark is first come first served and did get very busy so sometimes it was tough to find a parking space.
Our room was nice and spacious, plenty of room for Pepper’s crate too.
We all enjoyed the buffet breakfast served in Rump and Wade. Dogs were allowed to sit in the bar area which was great as that was closest to the buffet! Pepper enjoyed sharing our yogurt, eggs and bacon – ready to fuel her up for a busy day at DogFest!
