Offa’s Dyke Path is located in Knighton Mid Wales. They offer free parking, toilet facilities and a small museum and cafe (dogs unfortunately not permitted in the cafe or museum).
Outside is also a children’s play area and skate park.
This walk is extremely hilly, so bare that in mind when selecting your outfit for the hike!
You walk through gorgeous fields, past rivers that your dog can play in, up steep hills and a few signs (such as the line of England and Wales) which have been set up as great photo opportunities to document your trip.
The hike is extremely steep but definitely worth it. At the top, you can see for miles, and on a clear day, it was just gorgeous. You can continue on past the mountain top as this trial would take days to complete in full (we just did the Knighton to Shropshire part) but I would definitely say it’s worth a visit if your dog loves a long walk and you appreciate scenic views!
