Pizzarova started life in 2013 from the back of a converted Landrover Defender - roving the streets of Somerset, visiting markets and small festivals. They now serve their sourdough pizzas from three venues in Bristol - Park Street (BS1 5HS), Wapping Wharf (BS1 6ZA) and Gloucester Road (BS7 8NY).
We visited the Park Street branch which is their newest, and largest venue. It's central location at the bottom of Park Street makes it very handy whether you're heading up to Clifton, or down to the Harbourside. Pizzas are available to eat in or takeaway, so you can opt to bask in the sun on College Green (just over the road) with your pizza if you don't fancy the large, sociable sharing tables.
The pizzas are made right in front of you in a vast stone baked oven, with a great choice of ingredients available. Choose your toppings to go onto your hand opened 12″ margherita (as many toppings as you like for a set price), or opt for the special of the month. They also offer a ‘Lunch Pizza’ which comes in at 9″, perfect for a light lunch, or a smaller option for kids.
They have a good selection of soft drinks on offer, and free water readily available (for people and dogs). You can even finish off with some cake or a brownie which are temptingly placed by the till!
As is the growing trend in Bristol, dogs are welcome inside, and are made to feel right at home with a water bowl.
