Details
Porthkerry Country Park is situated in Barry, Wales. It offers free parking and beautiful scenery.
You will begin your walk through a large open field, where there are openings into woodland and rivers, the field also offers BBQs for people to use at their leisure. Just off the side of the field are toilets and Marco in the Park Cafe, which has water bowls outside for your furry friend and offers a choice of doggy ice cream and/or treats.
If you carry on further through the field you will come to the beach, which is a fairly small, secluded, pebble beach. The scenery surrounding this country park is beautiful, you will feel like you are aboard!
Piper and myself thoroughly enjoyed our day here and would highly recommend you paying a visit!

24/01/2022 at 4:30 am220 acres of woods and meadowland in a sheltered valley, walk through a wilding area that leads you straight to a gorgeous pebble beach with panoramic views of the coast.
The park has a number of nature trails, so stick to the beaten path or adventure through the multitude of woodland in the area. there are picnic sites, a café and a wooden play area. There is a log cabin that is available to hire and the vale of glamorgan council run a multitude of events to learn about the animals they are working to protect.
Dogs are in their element with the vast amount of space and places to explore. You’ll often see other dogs enjoying the area but there is plenty of space that if you have a reactive or nervous dog you could avoid other dogs all together.
