Romantic Shepherds Hut in Cornwall
This individually designed glamping hut is located in the Trematon village on the outskirts of Saltash known as the gateway to Cornwall. Plymouth is just 30 minutes by car.
Set in a field, the hut offers quiet seclusion and a private hot tub. It is close to the amazing coastline, Dartmoor, and Bodmin Moor, with an abundance of local walks and footpaths.
The shepherd's hut has been built to accommodate guests' needs for an authentic experience with all mod-cons. The toilet and shower are standard size, but the bathroom is small and compact. The kitchen workstation has a sink, two-ring electric hob, fridge, and a combination microwave and oven.
The cabin double bed is snugly tucked away behind curtains with access from one side only. 100% cotton bedding is provided.
Although there is electric heating, there is also a cast iron log burner for a more traditional warm and cozy feel.
For entertainment, there is a wall-hung TV with an integral DVD player and a digital radio. Wi-Fi is provided but can be intermittent inside the hut.
The hut has a decorative fence and over 60 trees have been planted to provide natural privacy. The property also has its own solar power panels to produce locally generated electricity.
Along with the compact space, there are steep wooden steps up into the hut. Guests will also need to walk across grassland, so sensible shoes are a must.
The hut is compact and therefore only suitable for one animal. Pets are not allowed on the bed or furniture and should never be left alone. The alpacas are curious and timid creatures, so please never allow your pet access into the alpaca field. Please also pick up your pet's poop and make sure gates are always closed.
A one-off fee of £30 is charged for pets. Please register your pet at the time of booking.
Guest access
Parking is off-road, and there will be a coded key box for contactless access. However, the owner is usually close at hand if needed. Guests will need to walk about 100 meters across the field to get to the hut, and there are steps up to the door. What three words to find the hut are speaking profiled slows.
