Details
Tawny Hide is located on Crowdy Hall Farm, where the ethos of sustainability and environmental care has been in the family for the past 100 years. There are over 200 acres of pastures and dells to explore, left purposefully wild and unlandscaped to minimise impact.
Inside the cabin, you won't find much more than 12V power, so there are no three-pin plugs or Wi-Fi. This is a place to get back to nature and to each other. Spend time on the wraparound deck, watching the ebb and flow of the natural world, from sunrise to sunset over the unbroken rolling countryside.
When you're not glued to the Kadai fire pit, relaxing in the wood-fired hot tub, or lying back in bed cloud spotting, you can explore the local area. The coast is just a half-hour drive away, where you can enjoy breezy walks, wide open beaches, and even the Teesmouth National Nature Reserve.
To make the most of your remote escape, bring ingredients to prepare ahead of your stay. You are welcome to bring a cool box with you if you have one, or use either the zeer pot or cool box provided to keep perishables cool. Don't forget milk for hot drinks and marshmallows, if the weather permits you to light the fire pit!
