    Dog tolerant, not particularly furiendly

We went here in February as they were advertised as Dog Friendly. The moment we arrived we went in to check in and were told we were booked into one of the rooms out the back of the property. We were also told that dogs were not permitted in either of the two dining rooms but they were permitted in the bar which was separate from the hotel as it was open to the public. This was fine and we had a nice meal in the bar that night and because we were hotel guests we were allowed to order from the hotel restaurant. The problem came in the morning, we had paid for breakfast but breakfast was only served in the restaurants as the bar wasn’t open …no dogs allowed but we weren’t allowed to leave Millie in the hotel room alone…so we had to eat breakfast one at a time and it was so annoying I didn’t have the breakfast that I had paid for. On the Tuesday morning they had a fire drill which we weren’t told about and had a moment of panic trying to get Millie in her harness but when we left the room a staff member stated this happened every Tuesday morning as if we were supposed to know this but this wasn’t told to us on our arrival. Overall I would say the hotel is dog tolerant because it has rooms for dogs but it is not dog furiendly.
