The Pilcrow Pub is located in Salder's Yard, on Hanover Street, in Manchester City Centre. It's a 2 minute walk from Victoria Train Station and a 5 minute walk from the Northern Quarter. The Pilcrow has been dubbed “the pub that Manchester built”.
For 10 months, swarms of enthusiastic volunteers flooded each and every workshop held to help build the pub. Led by professional craftspeople, Mancunians made bar-stools, beer pump handles, willow-woven flower baskets, tables, tiles much more. Their skills and ideas helped dictate the direction of the build. Thanks to the people of Manchester - The Pilcrow finally opened as a proper, functioning pub.
The Pilcrow Pub is a contemporary pub selling fantastic modern & seasonal beers, wines & mixed drinks. They also have a great selection of loose leaf teas and locally sourced filtered coffee from Ancoats Coffee plus sandwiches, pastries, sweet & savory baked goods.
They host a number of events including their regular pub quiz, tap take overs, weekly guest DJs, tasting plus much more.
They are family & dog furiendly (children are allowed up to 7pm but must be accompanied by an adult any time before), there's no time limit on dogs.
Dogs are welcome inside and are provided with a water bowl. Their outside seating area is a real sun trap and an excellent place for a beer in the sun (Manchester weather permitting). There is plenty of space inside and out for large dogs too.
They have no minimum card spent a small detail which makes the place great. Make sure you let staff know if you are sitting outside - as no glass is allowed on the terrace.
