The Salty Dog

The Salty Dog Hotel overlooks the beautiful marina of Bangor and the Irish Sea. This wonderful hotel and bistro has been dog friendly for many years, not realising they were total trendsetters in Northern Ireland.

Bangor is a great place for you to explore with the dog, and this hotel has direct access to Ireland’s the famous Coastal Path. Dog’s are welcome to stay for £15.00 for one dog, £20.00 for two dogs or £25.00 for three. £5 of which goes to a local animal shelter.

All dogs who visit receive complimentary treats and water, but those who stay the night receive a Doggie Box of goodies, a sausage for breakfast, a doggy toothbrush and guides to the local area. They can also provide comfortable bedding, feeding mat, bowl and towel for £10 per night.

Oh and what’s more? Dogs are more than welcome to dine alongside you while enjoying their own menu of chicken and beef meatloaf, liver rice and carrots, dog beer, dog ice cream and dog chocolate!
