The Sycamore Inn is a family run business situated in the beautiful Peak District. Set in 3 acres of woodland with ‘The Sett river’ running alongside, providing beautiful views across the valley, The Sycamore Inn is a great base for exploring this area. It is perfectly located for walkers and cyclists alike with the Set Valley Trail and Pennine Bridleway right on our doorstep; with many attractions nearby such as Chatsworth house, Go Ape Buxton, The Torrs, Millennium Walkway, Blue Johns Cavern and mine, we are the perfect location for all. Waggy tails and muddy boots are welcome to come in and relax at The Sycamore Inn and we also have 2 cosy log fires lit throughout the winter or an outside decked area with amazing views for the warmer months. We pride ourselves on GOOD quality home cooked food, a good selection of draft and bottled lagers, beers and real ales, a selection of wines and spirit's.
Birch Vale is a quiet rural village in the heart of the Peak district between nearby town New Mills and the quaint village of Hayfield; used to film the BBC’s TV drama ‘The Village’. Within easy reach of Buxton, Manchester and Sheffield, we have a bus stop right outside the front door and fantastic train links from New Mills Central and New Mills Newtown.
Should you wish to stay we have 5 very comfortable en-suite guest rooms 3 which are dog friendly at reasonable prices to include bed and breakfast. All rooms are complete with alarm clock, TV, hairdryer, iron, tea and coffee making facilities. There is a large car park alongside the beautiful woodland and beer garden, providing a tranquil place to relax next to the river, or if you prefer we have a large decking area outside with magnificent views across Birch Vale and Ollersett Moor.
