New Website to Help Dog Owners Find Dog Friendly Places in Ireland

New Website to Help Dog Owners Find Dog Friendly Places in Ireland

To Celebrate, Dog Furiendly Will Host A Virtual Pub Quiz All About Dogs

Dog Furiendly is launching an interactive website for dog owners in Ireland on Friday 23rd October. The award-winning travel platform will list places and events across Ireland, which allow dogs on the premises (dog friendly places).

To celebrate, Dog Furiendly will host a virtual pub quiz with questions centred around man’s best friend. The virtual quiz will stream live from 6pm on Friday 23rd October via YouTube and Facebook.

During the quiz, dog owners will have the chance to win prizes from Ireland-based businesses, Waggy Pooch, Puffin the Pup Dog Accessories and dog cartoonist Lauren Moore. Prizes will also be available from Burns Pet Nutrition.

The free-to-use travel platform aims to change the way dog owners research and plan adventures with the dog, combining search and social together. Dog owners can sign up for their own profile, leave reviews and take part in the community’s regular dog walks and events.

The website has been likened to Trip Advisor for dog owners, and the company are is preparing to roll it out as an app.

An estimated number of 455,000 dog owners will benefit from this new travel platform across Ireland.

Founder of Dog Furiendly, Adele Pember started the website after struggling to find places to take her Chihuahua cross, Charlie, who suffers with separation anxiety.

According to research carried out by Channel Four’s Dogs: Their Secret Lives, 85% of the dogs studied showed signs of not coping when left alone.

Adele, said: “We know there are a lot of dogs like Charlie who don’t like being away from their owners. It’s heart-breaking when you have to close the door and look at those puppy dog eyes. Many owners in Ireland face this tough situation every single day.

“Since launching Dog Furiendly in Wales, Scotland and England, we’ve helped so many people to find new places, our community is growing every day! We can’t wait to do the same for dog owners across Ireland.”

“On the other hand, hospitality businesses need support more than ever right now. We want to help businesses across Ireland to get back up on all four paws using innovative ways to bring in tail-wagging customers.”

Since launching in January 2018, the award-winning website has already been successful in helping over 250,000 dog owners to find new places in England, Scotland and Wales.

The website is live in Ireland from the 23rd October.
