Oktoberfest For Dogs and Their Owners is Coming to Bristol

Dog Furiendly is bringing the Tail Wagging Bavarian Bash to Bristol this October.

DOG FURIENDLY, a digital community for dog owners, is bringing a tail-wagging twist to the Oktoberfest celebrations called ‘Dogtoberfest’ to the Prince Street Social, Bristol on Sunday 6th October.

The all-day event has three sessions for dog owners to enjoy starting at 10.30AM, 1PM and 5:30PM.

The morning session has been created for dog owners with children and includes a Kinder disco complete with games, prizes and treats.

The afternoon session includes a yodeling performance from Yodellynne who has taught celebrities such as Paloma Faith and Faye Tozer and comedy from dog loving and bestselling author of ‘No Run Intended’ Hannah E Phillips.

The evening ends with an ‘Oompah pah’ including authentic Bavarian music from the Bierkeller Boys, and a dog show crowning the most Handsome Hansel and Gorgeous Gretel.

All tickets include a beer or juice on arrival, pretzels for dogs, a goody bag from Tails.com and traditional games with prizes throughout the night.

Dog owners will also get the opportunity to have professional photos with their dog with an Oktoberfest themed photobooth from dog photographer Tom Harper Photography.

Founder of Dog Furiendly, Adele Pember, said: “We’re so excited to be bringing Oktoberfest celebrations to our four-legged friends. As a dog owner there’s been so many times I’ve wanted to get involved with Oktoberfest but have decided against it for fear of leaving the dog at home who like 85% of dogs across the UK, suffers with separation anxiety.

“We’re putting together a tail-wagging twist on traditional games and collaborating with a selection of dog-loving Oktoberfest professionals to make the experience authentic”

Kelsie Jenkins and Cocker Spaniel Google are members of the dog loving community.

Kelsie said: “I’m very excited to be able to go to an event which both my dog and three-year-old daughter can attend and have plenty of fun making memories together. He is after all her best friend!”

VIP tickets are also available for the pampered pooches, including souvenirs, free digital photo, reserved seating and extra surprises on the night. Dogtoberfest tickets start from £15 and are available online only: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/dogtoberfest-bristol-tickets-68172029375.
