Details
St Fagans is situated just outside of the hustle and bustle of Cardiff city centre. It’s based over 100 acres of land and offers an opportunity to experience life in Wales throughout the ages.
Each building has been rebuilt and decorated like they would have been when first created.
There are always plenty of guides on hand to tell you the history of the building and those who may have once called it home.
It’s a great place to explore and is seeped in history, only downside is that dogs are not allowed inside the buildings or cafes. So if you want a nose around the houses, you may want to take a friend to mind your four legged friend while you have a nose!
Entrance into the site is free, but parking does cost £5 regardless of how long you spend there. The cafe prices can be pricey, so I recommend taking a picnic as there are plenty of places to enjoy and take in the views!

Dogs are allowed everywhere apart from inside the historic buildings. It’s a great location to do some training with your dog around farm animals also. Its very spacious but I would advise going first thing in the morning to avoid big crowds.
