The Heights of Abraham is a popular tourist destination in the heart of the Peak District in the picturesque town of Matlock.
The cable cars offer a scenic journey up and over the Derwent Valley.
Dogs are welcome in the cable cars and can enjoy the views with you. There is a 60 ache estate at the summit that have beautiful walks they can spend time exploring. If you visit the website before you go they even have their own 'Waggy Tails Trail' map that you can follow. There are lots of water bowls available around the estate.
Dogs are allowed on the balcony of the café to sit and enjoy lunch/ snacks with you and there are also lots of picnic spots around.
Unfortunately due to the small holes and tunnels dogs are not able to go in the underground caverns.
There are 4 car parks around Matlock Bath for you to park and it is also located close the the railway station in Matlock.
Please note this attraction is only open in summer season. Dates vary each year so check website for more information.
