The Spaniards Inn is a historic pub steeped in ghostly history. It's said that notorious highwayman Dick Turpin's father was once the landlord of the inn. Dick used this place as a hideout. He haunts the building along with "Black Dick", who are both blamed for tugging patrons' sleeves as they drink at the bar. The pub's car park is also said to be haunted by a horse believed to be Turpin's trusty steed, Black Bess! It is also extremely dog friendly, in fact, it regularly hosts dog events!

16th Century pub in the heart of York, situated at one end of The Shambles. Reportedly York's most haunted pub, it has previously been investigated by the Most Haunted team. The Golden Fleece has seen plenty of paranormal activity over the years. Keys rattling, ice cold hands on your back and a while lot of footsteps. The pub is dog friendly inside and out with water and treats on offer!
