They’re your best friend and child all rolled into one furry package, so why should they be left out of the wedding celebrations? Dog friendly weddings are becoming more and more popular with more venues opening the doors to those perfect little paws. Seeing them walk down the aisle in their wedding best, with a waggy tail and happy face is a dream for many bride and grooms. Of course, you’ll need a pawesome photographer to capture that special moment too.

This Valentine’s day we’re filled with puppy love after watching our Chief of Barketing, Charlie (@Charliebigears) get married to Tom Harper Photography’s little beauty, Poppy (@Shih_Tzu_Poppy). 1. Llanyrafon ManorCwmbran, Wales

The place where our adorable Charlie and Poppy got married! This beautiful, secluded venue is steeped in history, with the romantic building dating all the way back to the Tudor times. With plenty of quaint rooms and breathtaking photo opportunities, there’s no wonder this is our number one choice.

2. Le Petit Chateau, Northumberland, England

A fantastical French-inspired dog friendly wedding venue situated in Northumberland. It’s surrounded by breathtaking countryside making it heaven on earth for any creature with a waggy tail and wet nose. Dog’s can stay the whole day and even overnight in the dog friendly accommodation. Now all you have to do is find their wedding best! (Charlie is wearing a suit and Poppy a flower collar both from Tuna and Bear).

3. Newhall Estate, Midlothian, Scotland

Newhall Estate is a stunning Baronial home, surrounded by 1,100 acres of magnificent grounds, all within easy distance to Edinburgh. They know how important it is for you to have your closest family and friends there on your special day, whether they have two legs or four! They have endless dog walks in the glen, dog friendly cottages as well as kennels onsite.

4. Rosedew Farm, Llantwit Major, Wales

Rosedew Farm has seen many furry ring bearers and flower girls over the years. The venue is an open barn filled with rustic charm, and it makes the perfect blank canvas for you to shape your dream wedding. Your pooch will love frolicking around the open fields and cosying in the dog friendly cottage when the lights go down. 5. Newton Hall, Northumberland, England

Newton Hall is a beautiful destination in Northumberland specialising in outdoor weddings, where a beach celebration means champagne barbecues and vintage-style beach huts. Dog’s are welcome to join you on your special day, and if you’re barking enough (like us and Tom Harper Photography) they can even get married with their own special canine-friendly ceremony.

6. Caer Llan, Monmouth, Wales

This beautiful old country house, is where Tom Harper got married to his wife Gemma, with Poppy by his side as a flower girl. It’s located in an area of outstanding Natural Beauty around the lower Wye Valley and boasts the most incredible views. Poppy was allowed to join them throughout the day (bar the wedding breakfast because like other dogs, Poppy likes to steal sausages).

7. Lower Barns, Cornwall, England

This quaint and intimate venue is pawfect for small, runaway or elopement weddings of the most memorable kind. It’s nestled in a hidden corner of South Cornwall, close to the sea. They have special packages available so your faithful friend can be by your side as you tie the knot.

8. The Boathouse Loch Leven, Kinross, Scotland

This picturesque spot on Loch Leven is ideal for a small intimate wedding or something a little bigger. They love our dogs as much as we do and your pooch can stay for the whole day! The views and atmosphere will wow you, it’s simply furbulous.

9. The FalcondaleCeredigion, Wales

The Falcondale are big dog lovers, and are always happy to welcome canine guests of honour. This gorgeous, grade 2 listed country house hotel is, beautifully situated in the Teifi valley near to Cardigan Bay, Mid Wales.

10. Polpier and Penpol, Cornwall, England

Polpier and Penpol are two houses located on the top of the Cornish coastline in Mevagissey. They are not just a wedding venue that allows dogs, but a venue that loves dogs at weddings – that speaks volumes. Your dog can be with you throughout the day, even right up to the first dance.

11. Craig Y Nos, Brecon, Wales

Nestled between Swansea and Brecon, Craig Y Nos Castle is a breathtaking venue to choose for a dog friendly wedding. This place was once the estate of the Adelina Patti who was renowned for singing the most beautiful opera. Your pooch can stay with you the whole day, and you can even allow for more doggy guests if you wish.

Bachilton Barn is a charming, rustic venue located on 700 acres stunning Perthshire countryside. 13. Easton Grange, Suffolk, England

This place is situated in the rural Suffolk countryside. Dogs will love running around the woodland, meadows and lawns, before settling down at your feet for the wedding breakfast, and dancing the night away during the evening in the beautiful reception barn.

14. Woodlands Lodge, Hampshire, England

Situated in the New Forest, this beautiful place offers everything, from the rustic to the romantic. They love to welcome dogs of honour, whether they are part of the wedding procession or enjoying the whole day. Dogs receive a complimentary rice bone, towel and blanket for use during their stay. They also have water bowls and a dog bed in the bar so your pooch can steal a little snooze.
