There are two main beaches in the beautiful and picturesque seaside village of New Quay. Dolau beach which is at the bottom of the hill and to the left of the harbour wall is dog furiendly all year round. On a sunny day there is nowhere more beautiful to be and the views are truly amazing. It is a small sandy beach with turquoise waters and rows of beautiful cottages overlooking the beach.
From the top of the beach you can watch the dolphins from the harbour wall and the calmer the water, the better chance you have of seeing them. There are boat trips leaving the harbour if you want to get closer to the dolphins and a number of fantastic places to eat and drink are located around the beaches. There is limited parking at the top of the beach but due to New Quay being very popular during the summer months you may need to use the larger car parks at the top of the hill.
If you are visiting Ceredigion then a trip to New Quay is highly recommended.
