A GUIDE TO U.S. BARBEQUE STYLES
MEMPHIS STYLE
In Memphis, pork barbecue is king - the ribs, pork shoulders and butts are applied with dry rub during or right after they’ve been cooked. Mild, sweet and spicy rubs, as well as mopping sauces, are basted on periodically during
cooking.
KANSAS CITY STYLE
Here the meat is liberally seasoned with savoury spices, sweet rubs and sauces then smoked in a hickory-stoked pit for hours. Thick and sticky sweet sauces are slathered onto pork ribs and tangy briskets.
TEXAS STYLE
Texans like their barbecue “naked” with no sauce - it’s all about the meat and the smoking. Beef is king and brisket is the crown prince…
CAROLINA STYLE BBQ
Pig pickins and pulled pork are mixed with vinegar based sauces to make an incredibly flavourful and juicy barbecue

Always loved visiting the one in Rhos On Sea, so was excited to have one open on our doorstep.
1st visit, we went not long after opening and sat outside. We were so well looked after, and Harper was brought brisket, treats and water! 2nd visit parents went on own and joked about it being to cold to sit outside with dog, so was happy when told that we could bring dogs into bar area. It also meant we were able to be there for our nieces birthday with Harper.
Food is fantastic and service is great. Well worth a visit, you won’t be disappointed. Advise booking a table in advance at busy times.
