Trelissick House was donated to the National Trust by Ida Copeland and the house in currently undergoing bit-by-bit renovations with her at the heart of it, this is apparently a long-term plan but the house and gardens are still open.
During the winter/festive period the house and grounds are decorated with lights and Christmas decorations to get everyone in the spirit and even hold events (such as Santa and real reindeer visits). Dogs are very welcome to explore the woodlands, river and even visit the dog friendly café!
Dogs are not permitted inside the house and those who are not National Trust Members will need to pay a fee to enter of c£10-12.
Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area, or in Cornwall enjoying a holiday, and the walks can be enjoyed all year round.
(I believe you can also book to stay in the Watertower, I am unsure if this is dog friendly).
