Details
The Queens Head is located on the edge of the New Forest making the perfect pitstop after a long day of walking.
This country pub is surrounded by plenty of nature including deer, ponies, cows and donkeys. This pub dates back to 1645 and is rumoured to be an old smugglers haunt. With alcoves, nooks and crannies, you can hide away and enjoy a quiet drink or meal.
Meals with the dog can be enjoyed in the bar, restaurant or outside in the garden during the summer months. There is a good selection of real ales and wines to choose from.

We came here for a post-Dogstival sunday roast. The humans had pre-booked a table in line with the COVID guidelines, and made a note that I was coming. We were given a spacious table in the corner. Tables were well spaced out and thoroughly clean, lots of signage about the current COVID guidelines in place. We spotted several dog water bowls throughout the pub. The humans order some Sunday Roast that was served very quickly. They said it was super tasty. The pub also had a large garden which we exited through to the car park due to the one way system in place. A 5 minute drive down from Burley Park, parking in the car park was free after 6pm. Otherwise have some change for the parking meter!
