Snuffling in the forest, through the leaves, trees and splashing streams is a dream come true for many dogs. Treat your pooch to the holiday of their dreams with Forest Holidays with 11 idyllic forest locations to choose from.
Forest Holidays will always treat your pooch like family, in fact, some of the Forest Rangers even have their own dogs at work with them. Up to four dogs are allowed to stay for £15 per pooch, per night. You’ll even get a couple of doggie treats in your cabin on arrival.
After a day of playing in the forest, you and your pooch can rest safely in the cosy cabin (or treehouse). While your dog sleeps (with one eye open for forest critters) on the enclosed decking you can sink into the bubbling hot tub. Enjoy dramatic woodland views through the soaring windows, kickback and watch the telly or listen to the sound of birdsong carried on the breeze. Accommodation sleeps between 2-10 people. There’s plenty of space for your dog’s bed and favourite toys, but what they’ll enjoy most of all is the gentle warmth of the underfloor heating.
Every location is socially distanced by design with cabins dotted around some of the most beautiful forests in the country. You and your pooch are hidden from your neighbours and away from the noise, fresh air and total freedom is yours. You can book your holiday with total confidence for 2021 (and beyond) for a clean and safe stay, as they also provide flexible solutions if your break is affected by COVID.
Dogs are also allowed in the Forest Retreat. Across the site there are drinking stations available and outdoor taps to wash the forest mud away after a long walk too. Dogs must be kept on a lead around the other cabins and are not to be unaccompanied.
Every Forest Holiday has plenty of dog-friendly places and activities nearby, from forest trails to museums, trains, National parks and much much more!

Our Forest of Dean trip was one of the best holidays I have been on. We took my parents dog here and she loved it. We went for a whole week, which was just right. Having a dog means you need a few days just for resting so a week meant we had enough time to go explore the local areas. There’s a pub called the Globe inn, which is walking distance from the site and that’s dog friendly. There shop on site was great and also had a pizza oven so you can order right to your cabin. The cabins are beautiful and just perfectly laid out as it’s all open plan, with beautiful forest views and a large glass window so you can watch out. It’s great value if you bring a second couple along but as a pair going for a week, it was a little pricey so it would be nice if they had the option for a couple sized cabin (but would still need a hot tub as that was perfect!)
we walked for miles around the different routes from the site but also, there are loads to drive to as well if you wanted to go to the border of Wales and there’s so many cute villages to visit too! We had a great cream tea in Tintern near the Abbey ruins.
