The Piece Hall is a lovely attraction all year round, but we visited at Christmas with COVID-19 restrictions in place.
Due to COVID-19, indoor eating was prohibited so we had a very dog friendly outdoor hot chocolate making use of the picnic benches. The hot chocolates were delicious and due to it being a weekday it was very quiet with lots of space and pretty decorations to admire.
With a cocker spaniel pup, I can imagine a ‘normal’ none COVID-19 summers day to be less dog friendly as we have seen how busy it can be but on a quiet afternoon it was a the perfect Christmassy activity with dog in tow.
There’s many independent retailers off the courtyard to shop (but I’m not sure if they allow doggos inside – sorry!)
It’s also free entry, with just a 50p suggested donation which I think is reasonable to go towards maintenance costs of this lovely heritage building.
