Dog Furiendly’s New Website Becomes a TripAdvisor For Dog Owners

The Travel Hub Shares Dog Friendly Venues and Tail-Wagging Events Across the UK

On Friday 25th October, Dog Furiendly is unveiling a new interactive website for dog owners across the UK. The free-to-use website features a sophisticated search engine to find dog friendly places and dog related events.

The award-winning website has been re-designed with feedback from the community. Much like TripAdvisor, Dog Furiendly allows dog owners to save their favourite places and leave reviews.

The community aims to change the way dog owners research and plan their adventures by combining search and social together.

Dog owners can sign up for their own profile,  follow friends, send messages and take part in the community’s regular dog walks and dog friendly events.

Founder of Dog Furiendly, Adele Pember started the website after struggling to find places to take her Chihuahua, Charlie, who suffers with separation anxiety.

According to research carried out by Channel Four’s Dogs: Their Secret Lives, 85% of the dogs studied showed signs of not coping when left alone.

Adele, said: “There are more than seven million dogs across the UK, who like Charlie who find being without their owner incredibly difficult. Many dog owners find it difficult to make recreational plans outside of work with fear of leaving the dog.

“The life of a dog is short, so being able to use a platform such as Dog Furiendly to include your dog in your plans is so special, and gives you more memories to cherish.”

“Since launching Dog Furiendly in 2018, we’ve helped so many people to find new places, our community is growing every day!”

An estimated number of 9 million dog owners across the UK will benefit from this new online platform.

Alison and her two dogs Arya and Tyree from Edinburgh are proud members of Dog Furiendly’s community.

Alison Downing said, “Since using Dog Furiendly, finding dog friendly places has been a walk in the park! I’m able to visit places with confidence that both me, and my two dogs will be made welcome.”

“The reviews are great for getting a feel of space available as my dogs aren’t small and could feel cramped in some places. Finding dog friendly places is a walk in the park!”

“Their social media community has already encouraged me and Tyree to explore new places.”

Dog friendly hospitality and leisure businesses are invited to add their business or events to the website for free.

Since launching in January 2018, the award-winning website has already been successful in helping over 100,000 British dog owners to find new places.

The new website www.dogfuriendly.com is live across the UK from the Sunday 20th October.

Dog owners are encouraged to share their favourite dog friendly places with us on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook @dogfuriendly
